A big thank you to Montreal Community Cares!

A group of young basketball players from different neighbourhoods of Montreal came together last night to come serve supper to more than a 150 homeless men and women at our Webster Pavilion’s cafeteria. This Montreal Community Cares initiative was for the group a meaningful hands-on way of making a difference in the lives of those living on the streets.

One of the boys said: “I feel great; honestly it feels cool to help out.” Several players succeded in connecting with clients with a smile and a kind word, which is quite encouraging for those who don't often have a chance to be treated with respect and dignity.

Denburk Reid, Founder of Montreal Community Cares said: “I want to boys to see that there are others who don’t have much and that are in worst situations. It is an opportunity for them to give back to the community and better understand how it works.”

Your presence and generosity are greatly appreciated, thank you!
