Link Kabadyundi
Director of SlimmDuck Foundation
Link Kabadyundi (pronounced Kaba-June-Dee) is a multi-hyphenate professional focused on creating impact through communication, sports, community building, and art.
Link currently serves as a Director of Communications and Engagement at Findhelp | 211, a Toronto-based organization providing information and referrals to the people who need it when they need it most. Prior to this role, Link served as Communications Manager at United Way of Canada, where he was responsible for external, executive, and member communications. Link also serves on the Board of Directors for the SlimmDuck Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by NBA player Chris Boucher to provide youth and underserved communities with opportunities in education, sports, and wellness in Canada.
In 2017 he founded THR1VE Media, a media company focused on amplifying voices less heard yet deserving. In doing this work, Link has launched the “Black on Black” video series in Atlanta, co-created the “Soft & Tender” televised series about Black fatherhood in Chicago, launched “The Unity Prjct” (pronounced Project) to promote peace and unity across communities internationally, and seen his photography published and media content featured by NIKE. In January 2024, THR1VE Media also released its first short-documentary film, “Link Kabadyundi: 20-Something.”
In addition, Link is a co-founding member of Synoptech, a sports biotechnology company aimed at optimizing athletes’ health, performance, and recovery.
Link comes from a family of 7 siblings and currently lives in Toronto. He holds his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he competed as an NCAA Division I basketball athlete.
